Review – In the five points: we see our sin and our extreme need of God’s grace; we experience the complete grace of God which brings us to faith; we trust in the sufficient and complete work of Christ (not making salvation possible but making it real and actual); we see the Holy Spirit acting to effect our salvation, not merely encouraging it; we trust that, by His strength, that we will persevere to the end.

The Fifth Point – Perseverance of the Saints – endurance, assurance, faithfulness, eternal security

Commonly said – once saved, always saved. True, but given to misinterpretation.

Charles Spurgeon - "If our religion be of our own getting or making, it will perish; and the sooner it goes, the better; but if our religion is a matter of God's giving, we know that He shall never take back what He gives, and that, if He has commenced to work in us by His grace, He will never leave it unfinished."
