The Magi Worship the True King

Matthew 2 exposes three different responses to the kingship of Jesus.

1. Herod: an unrepentant nature as expressed in his manipulation of the magi and the depth of his hatred for Jesus as demonstrated in his order to murder all male children two years old and under.
2. The Chief Priests: complete contempt and apathy toward what they know to be true in their heads because they knew the scriptures and yet rejected in their hearts as they refuse to go see for themselves, or even worse, refuse to worship the King the scriptures clearly state as one born in Bethlehem.
3. The Magi: endure a 1,000 mile journey to worship a King whom Daniel revealed to them over 500 years prior even though they were gentiles, and yet, they believed.
