Calling on the Lord for Deliverance

Joel is prophesying of the destruction of Judah for their sin. In the midst of this terrible destruction, God makes a promise: Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. It has been said that Joel speaks of physical deliverance from physical enemies while Peter speaks of spiritual deliverance from spiritual enemies. But Joel is really speaking of both and Peter is interpreting what Joel wrote. In this message, we look at the deliverance that Joel and Peter are speaking of.
