Exodus 43 - I'd Rather Not Hear God

In the immediate aftermath of hearing God's Ten Words, the Hebrews decided that they did not want to hear from God any more. Their fear of His holiness, contrasted with their unholiness, drove them to separate themselves from God rather than throw themselves upon His grace, mercy and long suffering. This became their history done through today. It is also our history, unfortunately.
