This is part two of a sermon that demonstrates the providential hand of God in the history of men by showing how He preserves His Word and furthers His kingdom in the earth. The sermon shows the connection between John Wycliffe from the 14th century, and John Hus who was prominent in the 15th century, and Martin Luther who was prominent in the 16th century. Wycliffe and Luther were hounded by the religious and civil authorities, and Hus was martyred by the religious and civil authorities. In this second part, we show the connection between Luther and Hus (and by extension, Wycliffe). Three means are demonstrated to show the connection: 1. A prophecy by Hus and the words of Luther himself, 2. The Hussite War in the 15th century and the words of the Reformers in the 16th century, and 3. that Hus was martyred and Luther was not - a dream of Frederick the Wise and the words of Emperor Charles V demonstrate why Luther was not martyred.
