What Is The Sabbath For?

The Pharisees thought that they had a very high view of the Sabbath, but their view was seriously unbiblical and made a day that God had meant to be a blessing into a curse. So when Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath, used that day as God had intended they became enraged and wanted to kill Him as a law breaker.

As we shall see, it was not Christ, but the Pharisees who had failed utterly to keep the day Holy and use it as God had intended.
