The Problem of Evil

140

Hope, Love, Glory, and Christ: God's Answer to the Problem of Evil, pain, and Suffering. Job 1, 2, 13:15, 19:25, 38-42; Romans 3:21-26, 8:18-30, 9:14-24. The philosophical/theological problem of evil, pain and suffering is that God is all-good, all-knowing, all-powerful, yet evil is real, pain is real, suffering is real, which is often argued to be a contradiction. The pastoral/Christian experience problem of evil is that we hurt, that we suffer loss, that evil is done to us, that justice is often not meted out on this side of eternity, and it is often difficult to see how God is fulfilling his promise to work all things for our good and his glory.
