Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Love

Aim: To live an integrated life in Christ—balancing fact and freedom through a loving faith.

Exegesis: We should know and believe that all life is good, and that eternal (vv. 14-15) and spiritual (vv. 16-18) life takes precedence. We should know and believe that all liberty is fenced. Let us encourage (vv. 19-20) and protect (v. 21) one another. We should know and believe that all love is supreme. Loving faith gives us freedom (v. 22) and responsibilities (v. 23).

Key verse: v. 14 ''I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.''
