If YOU Don't Teach Your Children…

If YOU don't teach your children the way they should go... SOMEONE ELSE will, and what they teach them most likely will not be biblical or edifying.

It will likely simply be the accumulated trivia and rubbish of the pop-culture mixed with a smattering of humanism.

The people of Israel forgot this important principle and allowed the surrounding Canaanite culture to 'capture' the hearts and minds of the next generation. Similarly, for several generations Christians have been allowing the surrounding non-Christian culture to capture the hearts and minds of their kids and the result is that the knowledge of the faith amongst Western Christians is weaker than at any other time since the Reformation.

How do parents break that cycle? How can we take our calling to be the shepherds of God's little lambs seriously, how can we reclaim their minds for Christ? This sermon seeks to provide scriptural answers to those questions.
