Life Will Fail You, God and His Lovingkindness Cannot

Storms Speak

They move us, they captivate us, they make us act — we protect what we have and take shelter. The indicators warn us that something is brewing so we hear it and respond.

The application is the same with hearing from God.

Psalm 29 don't misplace your worship when uncontrollable and unexpected things enter your life.

David is encouraging the people to consider the affect that an uncontrollable whirlwind has upon. Storms get our attention, awareness, adoration and affirmation therefore we act on the probability, presence, power and possibility of an impending storm. History warns us to take cover because the uncontrollable damage that has been experienced in the past has made the present storm predictable. This tells me that storms speak and people in their right mind listen. They get our attention! It's that simple.

David is saying they speak and we hear them but their is one who speaks upon, above and through the uncontrollable storms that come and it's apparent that his audience has missed His witness, word and warnings and the focus is on the storm but not Him who controls the uncontrollable.

And because they missed His presence and power they misplaced their worship and give their attention and adoration to the natural and not Him who is Supreme and supernaturally controls the natural world we function in.
