Fighter or Coward?

Paul tells Timothy to "fight the good fight." Most are well aware that Timothy had a weakness for being timid. Over and over again Paul exhorted him to enter the fray and not shrink back in fear. This is not something only relevant to Timothy or to preachers. It is applicable to all Christians. You have been enlisted in Christ's army. You have no choice but to fight. Hiding in the bunker or going AWOL is not an option. When you "signed up" for the Christian faith, you signed up for battle and for being persecuted. Get used to it.
