The Just Shall Live By His Faith

The apostle moved in transition from warning to encouragement by a reference to Biblical faith. He referred to the prophet Habakkuk's words telling of the coming of Messiah. It's not the faith of the sinner that is in view but the objective and settled faith of the Savior, Jesus Christ. It's that faith that gives and sustains life. He promised it will persevere in the hardest of times to the saving of the soul.
