Wonderful things are said about Christian people in this passage. Among them are the following.

1. They are living – once spiritually dead Christians are now alive in Christ, enjoying abundant life now and anticipating eternal life in glory

2. They are a building – like Christ they are living stones making up a spiritual house for God

3. They are priests – the priesthood of all believers is asserted in the passage and ought to be celebrated by Christians
