A Hidden Sting

From a simple lesson, learned while gardening, we can see how a thing that is seemingly attractive can hide something that contains a painful sting, something that will hurt us and not be as attractive as we at first thought.

How like sin, planted by the Devil. We may find something that we consider to be attractive and harmless, our friends may say it is good, and we may be tempted to follow their lead, doing what they do, behaving like them and talking like them. But if what they are doing is not right, and is sinful, we should realise that we should look again at what we are doing, because sin, however attractive, always has a sting. Sin is never cost free.

To get the best of help and guidance we should always look to God and His Word. We should do what He says, and His blessing will surely rest upon us. May God encourage us so to do.
