Persecution and Praise

The church, when faced with persecution, flourished. The blood of the martyrs was the seed of the church.

In chapter 4 of Acts, we see the results of this persecution. We are encouraged not to be moved, as we are appointed to trials, sufferings, and persecution.

You cannot hinder the word of God, though you jail the messengers. Peter and John offered no resistance; this gave them opportunity to speak before the Sanhedrin.
