Considering Christ to Avoid Compromise

Christ must be much in our estimation if we are to avoid compromise.

1. Who we are in Christ v1.
   'holy brethren', 'partakers of the heavenly calling', those effectually called of the Spirit and brought into union with Christ.

2. Our profession of Christ v1.
   The reality of our profession must be evidenced by an exclusive regard for Christ's truth and priesthood.

3. Why we must consider Christ v2,3.

  The weakness of our testimony is on account of our feeble apprehensions of Christ - the martyrs' faithfulness and their high views of Christ - all strength found in and from Him.
