What's In Your Hand?

Weve been looking at the Book of Exodus and of course one of the main characters in Exodus is Moses.

His life can be divided up to 3 lots of 40 years. 4o years in Egypt, 40 years in Midian and forty years in the Wilderness leading the Israelites.

In Hebrews 11 it is clear that Moses's Faith caused him to do a number of things:

Heb 11.24: Moses renounced his position in Egypt:
Heb 11.25: Moses renounced the pleasures of Egypt:
Heb 11.26: Moses renounced the possessions of Egypt:

One day in the desert Moses got a call from God to go on a mission, a rescue mission.

God had heard the cries of His people in slavery and God was going to use Moses in delivering them from their bondage in Egypt.

At 80 years of age God still had a purpose for Moses's life.

God had been working all through His life for Moses's good and God's glory.

Moses had a staff in his hand and Moses had to let the staff go in order for God to do a miracle.
