2Cor026 A New Creation

Through union with Christ, believers enjoy the dual benefit of subjective transformation (new creature) and objective participation in the new creation. Paul applies the prophecy of Isaiah 65:17 to the new covenant era and proclaims that the messianic kingdom of Christ has come. With the arrival of this kingdom, old things have passed away and new things have come. In view of the believer's participation in these massive spiritual realities, Paul calls for a radical change of perspective which is to be manifested in thought and action.
