The Fruit of the Spirit filled life is a life well lived. It is the life that pleases the Lord. Fruit is what hangs on us. It is what others see. Fruit is our inward character we experience and outward conduct we express as our witness. It is the reality that we have new life in Jesus. It is fruit; not fruits. One fruit with nine flavors, one fruit with nine traits. We may excel in some of these more than the others but all nine are to be present in our life. We do not pick and choose. Fruit is not something that happens by our hard work. Only the Holy Spirit that indwells believers can produce fruit and by His power we practice it.
