Andy Naselli: Millennial Views

Mark Dever has recently been preaching through the book of Revelation. This past Sunday, while preaching on Revelation 20 he made a statement during that sermon that some may find rather provocative. Speaking to pastors in particular he said, "You are in sin if you lead your congregation to have a statement of faith that requires a particular millennial view". The question then seems to be, are millennial views essential? Should we be dogmatic or require a certain eschatological position for membership in the church? Should we exercise ecclesiastical separation from groups that hold differing eschatological positions?

Andy is currently working on a Ph.D. in Theological Studies with a concentration in New Testament Exegesis and Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he serves as research assistant to D. A. Carson and administrator of Themelios (an international evangelical theological journal that expounds and defends the historic Christian faith.)
