Kiss the Son
Series Psalm series
'Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?' If ever a plot were vain, a plan certain to fail, it is the attempt to overthrow the almighty. You'd have a much greater chance of success if you tried to rob Ft. Knox with a pea shooter, or steal Air Force One and sell it at a yard sale. The kings of the earth also rise up against the Lord, and against His anointed (Messiah/Christos), His Christ. How many of the world's kings have risen up against the Lord! Pharaohs, Caesars, princes and potentates. How does God respond? He laughs. He holds them in derision. This is a Psalm that spells out, perhaps better than any, the sovereignty of our God, and of His Annointed. Have you bowed the knee to Him, or are you a rebel? Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little.
