Ultra-MAGA Christian Nationalism

John Knox famously prayed, "Give me Scotland, or I die!" Why are so many Christians afraid to pray, "Give me America, or I die?!" Why do so many Christians seem satisfied with a post-Christian America? Is Ultra-MAGA really an ultra shameful slur? Is Christian Nationalism wrong? Should we be ashamed if someone labels us as dreaded and deplorable Christian Nationalists? Is Christian Nationalism the greatest existential threat to American democracy that CNN and MSNBC say it is? Is there a case for Biblical Christian Nationalism? What would Jesus say? Better yet, what did Jesus say?

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of ALL THE NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." –Matthew 28:18-20

Our obedience to Christ's Great Commission results in the salvation of individual sinners and the transformation of entire nations...and that's the goal! Consider Jonah and the national repentance of Nineveh! Every Christian (no matter their eschatology) should want, pray toward, and work toward seeing their nation bend its knee to Christ through individual and corporate repentance and confession of Christ as Lord! That's Biblical Christian Nationalism! Our goal is to preach the Word of God to all of mankind and see every sinful rebel and nation subdued and saved! We're aiming too small if we're not aiming to see Christ reign from sea to shining sea and over every other individual and nation on God's green earth!
