The Perfect Marriage

Adam was stuck in a way. His aloneness was "not good". As the animals walked before Adam, and he named each one, he saw that none of them could be his suitable helper. Adam likely also recognized that there was nothing he could do to change his situation? His estate of aloneness? May there not have been a sense of innocent futility at some point as the line of animals was getting close to the end? Not only were none of these sufficient, but the line was not infinite. The end was coming, and Adam had no power to add to it. It would therefore have to be all God’s doing. If Adam's aloneness would be addressed, God would have to do it. God was the One who brought the animals, the cattle, birds, beasts, to Adam. Adam was powerless to add to their number.
Adam was powerless to change one of these into that suitable helper that he needed. Adam had no ability to make that which did not exist yet. Adam was, from his perspective, from the perspective of human possibilities, without a solution.
He was powerless to change his estate. But God was not.
