Desperate Housewives...for God

The ABC comedy-drama "Desperate Housewives" is in its 6th season, and presents the typical, dysfunctional forni-fest that marks American life today. People have a hard time imaging that functional, happy families can even exist today. But they do!

Against the world's ideals for womanhood which include the discontented, whining, manipulating whores or the emotionally-androgynous power woman, Author Jennie Chancey suggests a biblical alternative. Jennie cuts and slices. She insists that a woman does not have fill the role of some mindless slave working for a corporation, or even the mindless "Stepford Wife" caricature. But as she fulfills God's designed roles for her (vs. those designed for her by the statist social planners), she maximizes her impact on this generation, and many more generations hence!
