The Peaceful Place of the Found

Luke called the three parables recorded in chapter fifteen, this parable. They are a contrast between things lost and found. Concerning the found sheep, it didn't seek the shepherd and it didn't make its way home. Rather the shepherd sought, found and placed the sheep on his shoulders to carry it home. This is a picture of God's sovereign grace.
