Rich Toward God

The Parable of the Rich Man has one point: life is vain and dome is certain for the man who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God. It is a parable of warning. The problem is not wealth but one's attitude toward it. In His first parable in Matthew 13, Jesus warned against the deceitfulness of riches. Wealth and spirituality are not companions and may be enemies. To be rich toward God is to love Him, to love truth, to love your family, to love the brethren.
