Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!

Embed

After that God called Moses and commissioned him to bring up the Children of Israel out of the Egyptian bondage, Moses, no doubt realising the enormity and danger associated with the task given to him, began to make excuses. One can feel for him. Having spent forty years in the back of beyond, he had lost whatever self confidence that he had. This was exactly what God wanted. He would have to rely upon God for everything necessary to accomplish the task.In spite of the miracles God performed to encourage him and the promises God gave him that He would undertake for him , he still made excuses to the extent that God was angry with him. After promising that Aaron would do the talking he set off. May we not be like Moses, as he was at this juncture, should God require us to do a difficult task.
