Citizens Of Heaven

Text: Philippians 3:20-21, Lord's Day 22

As our Catechism explains the last articles of the Apostles' Creed, we are again confronted with the doctrine of last things, or "eschatology." Even though these truths bring fear and terror to unbelievers, we who are believers in Jesus Christ find great comfort and peace in these teachings. Tonight we focus on:

1. Our Catechism's confession of God's promise to:
   a. Resurrect our physical bodies,
   b. Reunite them with their spiritual souls,
   c. So that "perfect blessedness" can be enjoyed.

2. The Apostle's emphasis on our Heavenly citizenship by way of:
   a. Different walks.
   b. Different ways.
   c. Different glories.
