The Rich Man is Israel

Lazarus in Jesus' parable is Christ Himself. He was rejected in this life but enjoyed immeasurable wealth and fellowship in the next. The Rich Man is Israel, especially the priesthood. He enjoyed a lavish life here but suffered immensely in the next. Jesus was foretelling God's purpose to judge and set aside the corrupt nation. Many still look for God to resurrect Israel. Stop looking to Israel and look only to Christ.
