Esther Bravely Stepped Forward, Will Christians In 2020 Do The Same Thing?

181

Oh, how we thrill to read all the action, excitement and adventure that are jammed-packed into the little book of Esther in the Old Testament. The Vince Lombardiesque motivational speech that Mordecai gives to her, prompting her to risk her life to speak with the king, the dark subplots and intrigue of Haman, replete with watching him receive the due reward of his labors. My, oh my, but that little book of Esther is exciting! Do you think God has nothing reserved for you in 2020 to accomplish for His kingdom? Think again. Esther is your wake-up call, Christian.

"Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:13,14 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we have a date with the most beautiful woman in all of Persia, the Jew Hadassah who blooms into Queen Esther right before our very eyes. Esther, as we soon see, is a woman of destiny, one on whose shoulders rests the future of the Jewish people. We learn that Esther was chosen for 'such a time as this', and she shirks not from accepting the role she was born to play. But what about, you, Christian? You who are living, amazingly and unbelievably so, in the prophesied end times, will you answer the call to step forward for the Lord as did Esther?
