The Bondage of Liberty and the Liberty of Bondage

Christian Liberty is found in Christ, not in the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or any other aspect of our democratic republic. American Christians should consider themselves not as citizens of a western democracy but primarily as citizens of the kingdom of God. Much of what the world regards as liberty actually leads to bondage. In contrast, true Christian liberty is found in being a bond-servant to the Lord Jesus Christ whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.
