Daniel's Third Vision

Daniel receives a final vision that encompasses the last three chapters of his book. These first nine verses describe important background information, as well as an amazing sight, as Daniel encounters God's glorious messenger. Daniel's concern for Israel had led him into three weeks of mourning and his reactions to the vision cause him to turn pale, without strength and finally collapse with his face to the ground. Being God's prophet can be hard on one's health.
