The Blind Leading the Blind
Series Series in the Gospel of Mark
I would like you to think with me this morning of the implications of spiritual blindness. "Can the blind lead the blind?" No, because they will both fall into the ditch, Jesus says. They will fall into the ditch because of the all the consequences of their spiritual blindness. It will only lead to misery, sorrow, and despair. The Lord, when He is working in your heart; when He is leading you, will lead you to righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. The 3 questions that I want to ask this morning, from these two texts which I have read to you, are these. 1st - What are the implications of spiritual blindness to the unbeliever? (Verses 13 and 14) 2ndly - What are the implications of spiritual blindness to a believer who does not see as he should? (Verses 15-20) And thirdly; what are the implications of spiritual sight and discernment for the true believer who is faithfully following Christ? (Luke 6: 39 and 40)
