Proverbs 10:8-9

A difference between the wise person and the foolish person is whether he receives God's commands in the heart, with the results being displayed in his external life. The final outcome of a person's existence depends on his attitude in receiving God's commands; the one who will not be commanded by God will come to judgment and ruin. Likewise, the one who has integrity—a commitment to honesty, purity, and faithfulness—will walk securely in God's blessing. But those who try to ease their paths through lack of integrity will have their deeds exposed, either on earth or at the judgment.
