Our Passover

The Christian's purity and the church's purity rest upon the foundation and reality of what Christ has already accomplished for us. Paul's emphasis is upon what the believer is, because it is only when he embraces this that he is able to wage war against those things that contradict this. It is from a position of purity that believers deal with impurity in their own lives and in the life of the body. Paul emphasizes the believer's noble position and then points to this as the motivation for him to more perfectly imitate that noble position.
