Salvation and the Lordship of Christ

There are many today who think they can be citizens of the kingdom of heaven, without being subjects of the King of heaven.

Every person in their right mind desires to have a happy eternity in heaven when they die, yet very few are willing to submit themselves to Jesus Christ.

Is it possible to with one hand receive from Christ his gift of eternal life, while with the other shake the fist at him in rebellious defiance, saying, “I will not have this Man to reign over me”?

Such a gospel is utterly foreign to the Scriptures, yet is being preached by many today who reject the doctrine of repentance.

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ must be received as both Saviour and Lord in order to be saved.

This issue goes to the heart of the gospel – to err on it is to pervert the gospel and lead souls to a false hope of salvation.

I. THE INDISPUTABLE REALITY OF CHRIST'S LORDSHIP
II. THE INDISPENSABLE REQUIREMENT OF CHRIST'S LORDSHIP
III. THE INDIVIDUAL RECEIVING OF CHRIST'S LORDSHIP
