The Discrimination of Christ

Looking at a couple of paragraphs, we see a familiar record of Jesus healing people and ejecting demons. There's also the calling of the Twelve. After some general observations, we focus on this full phrase, where Jesus called to him "anyone he wanted to". It's an expression of a wider, sovereign will that chooses people, whether for healing, apostleship or entire salvation. We are not to discriminate in sharing the gospel or loving others, but God can and does, all in line with his good purposes.
