Honoring Our Parents

It is very clear from the Old and New Testament that God demands our respect towards our parents. Ultimately God placed the responsibility of children into the hands of parents and the parents are to be respected as God’s appointed stewards over their lives.
Within the 5th commandment we find the key to loving God and finding peace within the home, government and society. The breaking of this law fractures our fellowship with God and men. Therefore, cradled within the home are children being cared for by their parents since birth. Their home environment is the greatest schooling agency in the world. Children from birth can learn love, experience security, be taught godly values and benefit from their parent’s jealous protection and generosity.
