Blessed to be one of God's People

The second effectual blessing of the New Covenant is that God is our God and we are His people. For the thrice holy God to be un-ashamed to be identified with such sinful creatures as you and I is astonishing. And yet in Christ this is exactly what God has done. But with the holy privilege of bearing His Name comes the enormous responsibility of walking worthy of the Name by which we are called!
