Christ Glorifying the Father - the Saviour's Supreme Purpose

Christ's supreme interest, and his whole purpose, was to glorify his father. The Father is glorified in the plan of salvation, specifically in the salvation of sinners.

1. The plan of salvation glorifies the Father.
2. The life of Christ was lived with this specific purpose in mind.
3. The Gospel is a proclamation to sinners of the glory of God.
   Application: 1. Christ-likeness. The duty and aim of the Christian to live to the glorify of God, as Christ did.
4. The essence of sin - robbing God of the glory which is his due.
