Romans 11 - Will There Be a Future Jewish-Dominated Earthly Kingdom of Christ?

This article is a brief commentary on the marvelous 11th Chapter of Paul's Epistle to the Romans. Mr. Connell seeks to show that this chapter must be interpreted in the light of other Scripture — namely the New Testament's interpretation of Old Testament Jewish prophecies. When we see the full picture, it is clear that God has but one people in this age and to all eternity — the church of the Living God, the pillar and the ground of the truth.

God saves Jews and Gentiles by grace, bringing them to be members of the "one body, the church." Then in the future program of God, there is NO place for an earthly kingdom of natural Jewish dominance. These are serious points that many wish to ignore or gloss over, in their vain attempt to picture the LORD (as dispensational premillennialists do) "RETURNING TO THE JEWS" and claiming He will establish a "future earthly kingdom" in the likeness of the Old Testament economy — even to the point of "restoration" of the ancient animal sacrifices!

How much better to interpret this passage in the light of what our Lord has done in breaking down "the middle wall of partition" once and for all! And a true Jew is one who has known "the inward circumcision of the heart," rather than the outward physical act. And God accepts all who come unto HIM by Christ — never preferring a "natural" son of Abraham over Gentile believers.
