On the Move With God's Word

The apostolic church believed it was speaking the word of God. Acts 13 is all about the proclamation and spreading of the word of God. It tells how the Holy Spirit sent out Saul and Barnabas to proclaim the word of God where it had not been heard before. It tells us how the word continued to be spoken to Jews but increasingly proclaimed to Gentiles. It tells how the word of God was opposed and rejected by many but welcomed with joy by others who 'glorified the word of the Lord!' Acts makes it clear that the church finds its true purpose for being and its deepest joy when it is on the move with the word of God.
