1 Being Prepared

Are you prepared to meet God? Are you prepared to stand before the Creator of the World? Does your heart long to be free of this body of sin, corruption and death?

1. Do you know how God prepares people to meet Jesus Christ? In the verses of Scripture.

2. Oftentimes God will work, in addition to His Word, through his minister. God works His Word into our minds by means of a person, a minister.

a. His appearance: John the Baptist's appearance is a declaration that he is a minister that God has sent to prepare people for Jesus.
b. John's message consisted of two parts: The greatness of Christ; and the greatlessness of man.
c. John's name means "Jehovah is a gracious giver." What a gracious gift John was to the people.
