Servants of God p3

In this message, Pastor John looks at the five remaining deacons and Saul. Church history & tradition relate that four of these men were killed for their faith. The fifth, Nicholas, is blamed for a heretical sect that believed they had freedom to indulge in fleshly pleasures. Pastor John shares the words of Jesus from the 2nd chapter of Revelation where Jesus said He hates the deeds and teaching of the Nicolaitans. This false teaching has crept into the modern church. Jesus hates it the same today as then.
Moving on, Pastor John devotes the rest of the message to Saul who hated followers of the way. He was on his way to arrest believers and drag them back to Jerusalem to be jailed and tried for the crime of heresy. But on the way, He encountered the risen Lord. He was blinded and this encounter transformed him from a persecutor to the persecuted! God can use anyone He chooses to use. Resistance is futile. The question is whether we will remain firm in our faith if or when the going gets tough. Listen now to be confronted in your faith. If you dare.
