Confidence in Approaching the Day of the Lord

Paul writes to calm the shaken minds and alarmed spirits of the Thessalonians. They were stirred up by false teachings about the Day of the Lord. One mark of truth is stability. They did not have stability. As Paul clarifies their issues, he raises many for us. A particular focus for this and subsequent sermons will be the exploration of the rapture and whether the Bible clearly teaches a pre-tribulation or post-tribulation rapture or whether there might be grounds for inferring either view from Scriptures if not clearly stated.
