The Deacon's Service

According to this text of Scripture it is clear that deacons are not an essential office for the church (the Jerusalem church was growing very quickly without these deacons), but in view of the church’s continued existence in a fallen world, deacons are essential to the well-being of the church: when the physical and tangible needs of believers arise, these servants of God prove their worth! What is the duty of the deacon? Is there a peculiar promise given to deacons as an incentive for their service? In this sermon we study God’s provision to His saints by granting His church deacons.
