Christians can rejoice in our sufferings because we know that for us, suffering is the pathway to glory. It produces endurance that leads to character that in turn produces hope, and that hope will not put us to shame—that is, it will not leave us embarrassed or disappointed. It is a sure hope. And the guarantee for this is God's love.
