Romans #21

73

Here, after quoting Genesis 15:6, which says that Abraham believed God and that "his faith was 'counted to him as righteousness,'" Paul ends the chapter by saying in vv. 23-25, But the words "it was counted to him" were not written for his sake [Abraham's] alone, 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

So you see, this justification—this forgiveness of every last one of your sins—is available to everyone who trusts the God who raised Jesus from the dead.

Do you trust Him? Are you trusting Him now? Do you say that Jesus Christ—who 2000 years ago was crucified and 3 days later raised from the dead—is your Lord? If so, then you are justified right now before God! He counts you righteous in His sight, all because of Jesus.
