To Gain, be Found in, and Know Christ

In the midst of Paul's "personal testimony" in Philippians 3, he gives perhaps the most concise statement of the full gospel of Christ in verses 9-11. Here the great truths of justification, sanctification, and glorification are given.

But Paul does not merely give the necessary doctrinal expression of the gospel, but he gives the equally necessary experiential aspect of the gospel of Christ.

The Christian's treasure is Christ Jesus Himself: knowing Christ, being conformed to Christ's likeness and bringing glory to Christ while on earth, and being made like Christ and seeing Him in His glory on that last Day.
