The Folly of Pretense

How do we see that the slaughter of the Amalekites was a picture of God’s judgement upon His enemies? How are the questions David is asking meant to reveal the Amalekite’s deceptive heart, condemning him? Why did this Amalekite tell David that he killed Saul? Should we jest and harden our hearts against those that will perish in condemnation? How are we all in the flesh, in Adam, sworn enemies of the LORD? How is unbelief of the Word that tells of the Righteousness that Christ earned as the only righteousness the one sin that cannot be forgiven?
